Ugh. Today is my first day back at work after having two weeks off with my kids. Now they are back at school, and it's back to the grind. RESPONSIBILITIES. I hates 'em.
Last week I finished reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix which was awesome as always. I also read Fortune's Pawn by Rachel Bach and YAY! It was awesome, too.
I've started reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince which I've already torn halfway through. I also started reading I Am Malala last night which made me stay up way too late. This is going to be a great read.
This week my kids and I read/are currently reading:
Bunnicula was one of my childhood favorites. I loved sharing it with my boys.
I'd love to hear what you are reading this week. Let me know in the comments or leave me a link!

ReplyDeleteFORTUNE'S PAWN! \o/
ReplyDeleteI have only read fanfic for the last five days. I can't decide what to read first! #disaster
Bunnicula is so fun. :) I want to get to I am Malala at some point. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteYeah going back to work is a major bummer after the holiday break. Course my kids are off today thanks to snowstorm- mania. Have a good reading week- the 5 Min. Marvel stories looks interesting...
ReplyDeleteI have Malala's book on my coffee table to read - haven't picked it up yet but I have every intention of it. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like 2014 is off to a great start! :) Happy Reading This Week!! The Brunette Librarian's Blog

Cool books! I've read all of the books in the Harry Potter series before, but I might do a re-read in a few years. To me, The Order of the Phoenix was the weakest book in the series. My favourites in the series were the third book (Prisoner of Azkaban) and the last book (Deathly Hallows). Hope you enjoy reading them, I will forever love Harry Potter, it's just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm actually reading The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien for my grade 12 english class. I really love it, mostly because I've watched all the movies (and both Hobbit movies that have come out) and am in love with Middle Earth and all of its characters. Happy reading! :)
Half Blood Prince is my favorite book of the series. I just recently wrote a post about it.
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to read I am Malala. :)
ReplyDeleteEverything starts for me tomorrow, bleh. :(
Good reads. I want to know more about I am Malala.
ReplyDeleteHello there Jennifer, I have a copy of Bunnicula in my own shelf but haven't read it yet, thanks for noting that it's a fabulous read! Definitely gives me incentive to take it off my bookshelves. My daughter and I have also been reading the Harry Potter series, since it's a read-aloud, it's a bit slow-going for us, we're only in the first few chapters of the first book. Looks like the entire series would be a project for 2014. :) Have a great reading week! Do consider joining us as well for the Check Off your Reading List Challenge! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! The Bunnicula looks interesting! I've never seen a bunny vampire before. Cutesy...
