Speaking of movies, we watched Murder Mystery 2 this weekend on Netflix. Adam Sandler movies are pretty cheesy, but I love them. We also finally watched Jurassic World Dominion. I had low expectations so it turned out OK enough.

Our Share of Night by Mariana Enriquez - I'm back to reading Our Share of Night. It's a chunky one, and I'm taking my time with it. I suspect I'll be reading this one for a while.
A House with Good Bones by T. Kingfisher - I started listening to this while playing Stardew Valley yesterday. Is there a greater way to relax while the family is still asleep? Probably not.

The Replacement by Lindsey Duga - My son had a book fair at his school this past week so we went to family night together. I was excited to see Lindsey Duga's latest release because I haven't read this one yet!

Scholastic book fair? Those were the best and the number one reason why I was able to own so many books as a kid. What a fun family night out. So, you don't need to hear Stardew Valley to play? That is a fun multitask for listening to audiobooks
ReplyDeleteYep - Scholastic! Nope, in fact I leave Stardew completely muted. It's perfect. If there's a cut scene or I get a letter in the mail that I need to read, I'll pause my book but otherwise I can totally engage with both.

ReplyDeleteI loved hosting Scholastic Book Fairs when I was a school librarian. So much fun!
I love book fairs. I always let my kids participate even though they usually come home with more bookmarks and erasers than books. :)
DeleteMy hold for Chlorine came in at Libby but I had to push it back for the readalong book. I'll definitely grab it when it comes back around.
