Happy September! I'm in a great reading mood today. I had such a great reading day yesterday, I want to chunk all of my Sunday responsibilities out the window today. We'll see!
I am ready for all things fall. Part of what I'm planning to do today (hopefully with an audiobook going) is start decorating for fall. I do have a question for you guys - do you have a favorite pumpkin spice tea? My go to caffeine/decaf teas are:
I try to only drink caffeine before lunch since my anxiety makes me a terrible sleeper.

Finished Reading
One Piece, Volume 5: For Whom the Bell Tolls by Eiichiro Oda ⭐⭐⭐⭐★ - This volume was a bit mixed for me. I loved the ending of the Usopp storyline, but I didn't care so much for the beginning of the next arc. I got emotional over Usopp's story, though, so it still got 4 stars from me.
Paper Girls, Volume 3 by Brian K. Vaughan ⭐⭐⭐⭐★ - This is still really fun. I had to renew the next few volumes at the library because I just haven't had the time (or mental capacity) to read much lately.
What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Aaah! My reading soul was RENEWED yesterday. After a long, hot day I plopped down and read all of this magnificent book. Last week I mentioned rereading The Fall of the House of Usher in preparation of reading What Moves the Dead. I'm sooo glad I did. I highly recommend it since What Moves the Dead is a re-imagining of The Fall of the House of Usher. What Moves the Dead is so good! I'll have a review out soon.
Currently Reading
Babel by R.F. Kuang - I'm slowly making my way through Babel. I'm 90 pages in, and things are starting to get dark and strange. I'm enjoying it, and I will continue to take my time with it.
The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson - My reread is still going well with The Way of Kings! I'm about 700 pages in now out of 1007.
Amari and the Night Brothers by B.B. Alston - I started reading Amari and the Night Brothers. So far it reminds me of Brandon Sanderson's Alcatraz vs. the Evil Librarians. It's quirky, and I like it.

Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune - Under the Whispering Door is my book club's pick for October. Excited to finally read T.J. Klune soon.
Unmasked (Fright Watch #3) by Lorien Lawrence - The new Fright Watch book is out! I loved the first two books. They are middle grade horror books about kids that are basically the supernatural neighborhood watch. So fun!
Amari and the Great Game by B.B. Alston - The next Amari book was also released this past week. Hopefully I can get to it soon after finishing the first one.
I love Celestial Seasonings Sweet Harvest Pumpkin tea. I just looked at the label and saw it had Stevia in it. I guess that is why it needs no sweetener. HA!
ReplyDeleteI'm allergic to Stevia so I'm glad you mentioned it! I have terrible allergies, and Stevia is a ragweed. A sweet pumpkin tea sounds great, though.
DeleteA long holiday weekend is perfect for just lazing around and reading. I say go for it haha! I need to get some pumpkin spice tea or something as well. something to get me in the mood properly for fall!

I still need to watch Paper Girls! Maybe today... I wound up being lazy watching shows instead of reading yesterday which was great, too.
DeleteI don't do well with caffeine. We're actually not good friends, lol. I drink mostly herbal teas because decaf is even too much for me. My favorite types of teas are loose-leaf teas. I haven't found a good pumpkin spice loose-leaf tea yet. I do like the one from Trader Joe's, though. It has a good flavor.

I used to drink a lot of loose-leaf tea, but I honestly got very lazy about it. I did find one loose leaf pumpkin tea that I liked. Halloween Latte - a custom fan blend through Adagio.

ReplyDeleteI don't drink flavor teas of any kind, just stick to black tea with a little milk. But my last caffeine drink is lunch like yourself.
ReplyDeleteI haven't found a pumpkin spice tea that doesn't taste like soap yet. I usually just drink Earl Grey or Lady Grey.
