Recent Updates and Currently Reading | July 24

Thank you so much to everyone who shared their review process with me last week. If you also need some motivation or inspiration, please feel free to read back through the comments on my post last week. I really appreciate you all sharing your process. It's going to be so helpful.

I've set a goal to write a review (or two) today. You'll know if I was successful if you see them this week!

Currently Reading

The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien Upgrade by Blake Crouch

I'm still reading The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien (reread) and Upgrade by Blake Crouch. It was a stressful week so I didn't have much reading time. The good news is I'm enjoying them both.

Added to the TBR

What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher The Clackity by Lora Senf

What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher - I may read this next!

The Clackity by Lora Senf - This was a preorder that would never arrive!! It kept being back ordered and back ordered so finally I canceled my order and bought it from Amazon. Of course it came in two days... I'm excited to finally have it.

Currently Watching

Only Murders in the Building

I finished season one of Only Murders in the Building. I laughed so hard at the finale. If you aren't watching this show, do your self a favor and start watching it!

This post is being shared as part of The Sunday Salon at Readerbuzz, Book Date It's Monday! What Are You Reading?, and Caffeinated Book Reviewer's The Sunday Post.

  3. We have really liked Murders in the Building. We're watching season two.

I don't care if reading goes slow if I'm enjoying the books. Glad you are enjoying the Blake Crouch book as well as the classic Tolkien.

    1. We just started season two. What a fun show! I'm getting back into reading big chunky books right now, and I'm loving it. You are right - as long as I'm enjoying what I'm reading, that's what matters. Thanks!

    1. Thank you. Yes, I'm glad to be reading some things that I enjoy. It helps even if I can only read for a bit.

  10. It was fun reading the different responses and seeing how everyone reviews. And ooh Fellowship makes me kind of want to re- read those...

Only Murders sounds fun. I've been hearing good things. I started Dark Winds too and like it so far!

  12. I've only read The Hollow Places by T. Kingfisher but I really liked it. One of my best friends recommended The Twisted Ones as well but that always seems to be checked out of my library.

The Clackity sounds really good. What a great name for a--monster? I'm adding it to my TBR.

The Only Murders in the Building keeps getting recommended to us. We don't have Hulu though. We may have to cancel Netflix for a bit when we get caught up on those shows and subscribe to Hulu to watch some of their content.

    Enjoy your week!

    1. That's a great idea to swap out Netflix for a while. I would definitely do that, too, but I have a kid who lives off of Netflix anime. :)

  16. Oooo. More books to read!

Glad to hear you're enjoying LOTR. It's been too long since I've read it. May have to add it to my (far too huge) TBR pile.

    Good luck with your reviews!
