Thank you so much to everyone who shared their review process with me last week. If you also need some motivation or inspiration, please feel free to read back through the comments on my post last week. I really appreciate you all sharing your process. It's going to be so helpful.
I've set a goal to write a review (or two) today. You'll know if I was successful if you see them this week!
Currently Reading
I'm still reading The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien (reread) and Upgrade by Blake Crouch. It was a stressful week so I didn't have much reading time. The good news is I'm enjoying them both.
Added to the TBR
What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher - I may read this next!
The Clackity by Lora Senf - This was a preorder that would never arrive!! It kept being back ordered and back ordered so finally I canceled my order and bought it from Amazon. Of course it came in two days... I'm excited to finally have it.
Currently Watching
I finished season one of Only Murders in the Building. I laughed so hard at the finale. If you aren't watching this show, do your self a favor and start watching it!
This post is being shared as part of The Sunday Salon at Readerbuzz, Book Date It's Monday! What Are You Reading?, and Caffeinated Book Reviewer's The Sunday Post.
Ooo both books on your TBR look awesome!!! I need to add them to mine!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about them!
DeleteI have been hit or miss with T. Kingfisher but I am kind of curious about that one, hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI think I've only read The Hollow Places. I really need to change that.
DeleteWe have really liked Murders in the Building. We're watching season two.
ReplyDeleteI don't care if reading goes slow if I'm enjoying the books. Glad you are enjoying the Blake Crouch book as well as the classic Tolkien.
We just started season two. What a fun show! I'm getting back into reading big chunky books right now, and I'm loving it. You are right - as long as I'm enjoying what I'm reading, that's what matters. Thanks!
DeleteGood luck writing your reviews! And have a great week. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lark!
DeleteI want to read The Lord of the Rings. Maybe one day... I've seen What Moves The Dead a lot on blogs recently.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week next week!

Emily, I highly recommend LOTR! I hope you get to read it someday.
DeleteOnly Murders in the Building is fantastic, isn't it? Corey and I love it so much! :D
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
It's so great! I'm going to let the first season sink in a bit before I start season two!
DeleteI hope you're able to write the reviews you want to.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you, Mary!
DeleteSorry the week has been stressful. Seems like a theme I am seeing in a lot of Sunday posts. At least you have two good books in the mix.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, I'm glad to be reading some things that I enjoy. It helps even if I can only read for a bit.
DeleteI never think to add what I am watching to my posts. I hope you have a great week. https://cindysbookcorner.blogspot.com/2022/07/stacking-shelves-33-sunday-post-30.html
ReplyDeleteI've been better about remembering lately! I think it's becoming a habit now.
DeleteIt was fun reading the different responses and seeing how everyone reviews. And ooh Fellowship makes me kind of want to re- read those...
ReplyDeleteOnly Murders sounds fun. I've been hearing good things. I started Dark Winds too and like it so far!
Found it! I really enjoyed learning how everyone reviews, too. I'm thankful to everyone who shared.
DeleteYour books are ones Robin reads/reviews on the blog. I want to read some of them too.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
I hope you will get a chance to read them as well!
DeleteI've only read The Hollow Places by T. Kingfisher but I really liked it. One of my best friends recommended The Twisted Ones as well but that always seems to be checked out of my library.
ReplyDeleteThe Clackity sounds really good. What a great name for a--monster? I'm adding it to my TBR.
The Only Murders in the Building keeps getting recommended to us. We don't have Hulu though. We may have to cancel Netflix for a bit when we get caught up on those shows and subscribe to Hulu to watch some of their content.
Enjoy your week!
That's a great idea to swap out Netflix for a while. I would definitely do that, too, but I have a kid who lives off of Netflix anime. :)
DeleteWriting reviews are so tough for me sometimes! I'll have to visit that previous post. I want to check out The Only Murders now. Steve Martin is a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a struggle. Everyone's comments have really helped me to think out how I want to attempt getting back to reviewing.
DeleteWhat Moves The Dead is so good! Enjoy😁
ReplyDeleteNot sure why my comment was "anonymous", lol😁
ReplyDeleteHa!! I'm glad you noticed so I could know it was you! The Horror Spotlight discord is reading it in September so I may wait until then. We'll see - I really want to read it now!
DeleteOooo. More books to read!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're enjoying LOTR. It's been too long since I've read it. May have to add it to my (far too huge) TBR pile.
Good luck with your reviews!
Thanks, Amy!
DeleteEnjoy your reads! The Clackity is on my TBR as well, it looks great!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week ahead!
I can't wait to read The Clackity! It does look great.
DeleteOnly murders in the Building seems very entertaining!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving it so much. It is so delightful.
DeleteI'm crazy behind on reviews. I need to take your cue and try to write one a day.
ReplyDeleteJust one for the weekend for me, but I think setting a doable goal definitely helps.
DeleteOh looks like my comment might have disappeared. Anyway LotR makes me think of reading that and I started Dark wind- just finished it last night and loved it!
ReplyDeleteUgh, Greg - and just when we thought comments were getting better!! I'll go see if it got eaten by spam because I feel like I saw a comment from you. :( So glad you got to watch Dark Winds! I knew you would love it.
