I thought I wanted to read less this year, but I think what I really wanted was to just find a better balance. I feel like I'm taking a lot more time to do non-reading things this year so I'm happy about that. I'm also trying to give in to mood reading more than I have in the last year or two.

This post is being shared as part of Book Date's It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Caffeinated Book Reviewer's The Sunday Post.
Yes I am in a MOOD too. I always like mystery/thrillers and I'm in a full out binge these days. I am managing to read other stuff but like you say, I am doing a lot less challenges and trying to read more of what I just want to read.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week and enjoy your new reads!
Anne - Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post
I set a weekly TBR, but I have slotted in other books, when my mood called for it. I tend to enjoy the book more, when it fits my needs at that moment in time. Good for you for giving into the mood. You had a pretty decent reading month, and that Total Olympics book sounds fabulous
ReplyDeleteI'm totally a mood reader and sometimes it wreaks havoc with my reading "plans" (such as they are ha) but I have a hard time if I'm not in the mood for a certain book.
ReplyDeleteYou Are Not Alone looks like something I'd like. I've been reading all the thrillers lately lol. Have a super week!
I love all the Olympic books! And I'm really curious about Follow Me. Can't wait to read your review😁
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're enjoying Follow Me - that's on my list for March!

I’ll have to look for your review of The Boatman’s Daughter. I really want to read that one. I hope you have a good March!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
You did great in February. The stomach flu has sort of sidelined my wrap up but I hope to get it done today so I can get it up Thursday. Also, a great variety of genres - how fun!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finding a balance to suit you.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a merry March
