On a much brighter note, this week's reading update is filled with all of the stars.
Posted Last Week
I posted my ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review of Wilder Girls by Rory Power.
Finished Reading
Recursion by Blake Crouch ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Definitely for fans of Dark Matter.
Harry Potter y el Prisionero de Azkaban (Harry Potter #3) by J.K. Rowling, Adolfo Muñoz GarcÃa (Translator), Nieves MartÃn Azofra (Translator) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I'm still loving reading the Spanish editions of Harry Potter. It is taking me a while to make my way through them, but I feel closer than ever to these stories.
Theme Music by T. Marie Vandelly ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Wow, was this book a surprise!
What is this madness? All the stars for all the books?! I will have reviews of Recursion and Theme Music up soon.
Currently Reading
The Last Astronaut by David Wellington - I'm starting The Last Astronaut today. I've heard such good things!
Harry Potter y el cà liz de fuego (Harry Potter #4) by J.K. Rowling, Adolfo Muñoz GarcÃa (Translator), Nieves MartÃn Azofra (Translator) - I also started reading Goblet of Fire. These books just get bigger and bigger, don't they?
Recent Acquisitions
Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand - We are starting to put a bigger focus on YA and MG horror over at Ladies of Horror Fiction so you will be seeing them more here as well. If you have any favorite LOHF YA or MG books, I'd love your recommendations!
Cardinal Black (Matthew Corbett #7) by Robert R. McCammon - Someday I'm going to make time to catch up on the Matthew Corbett series.
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, Rob Inglis (Narrator) - The Hobbit is in my TBR jar this year. I loved the Rob Inglis audios of LOTR so I decided it would be a good idea to grab the Rob Inglis narration of The Hobbit.
So what about you? Let me know what you're reading this week or leave me some links!
This post is being shared as part of Book Date's It's Monday! What Are You Reading? and Caffeinated Book Reviewer's The Sunday Post.
I adored Recursion too, definitely one of my favorite books of the year. Good luck with school! Wow, kids at three different schools! My kids were at two different schools for various years, and I thought that was way too much to handle😬
ReplyDeleteWow. I love it that you are reading Harry Potter in Spanish. That's such a cool thing to do!
ReplyDeleteI don't envy you having three kids in three schools. I had two in two schools, but they were side by side. Three kids felt like too much for me to handle. I was a wimp!
Have a great week!
You are Wonder Woman handling three different schools and all the assignments. The best part of summer, when my daughter was younger, was that everything just stopped, and I could finally take a breath. Good luck with the new school year, and I hope the teachers are kind.
ReplyDeleteOh yes the get back to school is always stressful! I hope everything goes smoothly for you!
ReplyDeleteIt's been so long since I re-read Harry Potter! I wonder if I'll be able to fit that in this year...
ReplyDeleteArgh, hit send before I finished!
DeleteI hope you have a good week and that back to school goes smoothly!
I know about school! We used to go back after Labor Day and now it's starting in just a couple weeks. Let the craziness begin lol.
ReplyDeleteRecursion was such a trip.
I might have to try Sawkill Girls.
Wow, three different schools! That must be so brutal! I wish you all the luck!
ReplyDeleteGenesis @ Whispering Chapters
I can't believe how fast the summer went by! Recursion is on my reading stack and I hope to start The Last Astronaut this coming week. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
I don't know if I'm ready for the school year to start again either, and I just got adapted to the summer schedule and in a month it's time to change again! I love Recursion too, and I hope you enjoy The Last Astronaut!

I'm sending all my school {{{posivibes}}} since my youngest graduated in 2018 and I don't need them. lol Well, I have 2 in college and 1 wavering about community college, but they all still live at home. My 21yo daughter handles all her stuff herself and my youngest is all online. My 20yo son, well, his anxiety is kicking in, so we may table school until the Spring session. He's schizoaffective, too so we have to take things slowly. We'll see how it goes.
ReplyDeleteI need to see if my library is getting/has Theme Music. You've got me curious. Three kids in three schools sounds like a full time job in and of itself. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm dreading back to school too and I only have one child. I can't even imagine trying to deal with three at three different schools. Here's hoping it goes smoothly for us both!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see you enjoyed Recursion. That was a 5-star read for me too. Can't wait to read more from Crouch.
We are midway through our school year but I’ve just had to buy knew uniforms and school shoes, my boys are growing so fast!
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week, I’m curious about The Last Astronaut.
