My library ordered a copy of Truly Devious when I requested it so it should be here soon. Annihilation is tempting me but is it a really technical read? I saw on TV the production company already sold the rights to the second and third movies to Netflix because they don't respect them to do too well at the box office. Hope you have a wonderful February.
ReplyDeleteNo, it's not technical, just weird in a good way. Wow, that's interesting about the sequels. I'm kind of glad, though, so I can watch them on Netflix. :)
DeleteYou read Annihilation? So did I! And thanks for the introduction to You. It looks really good!
ReplyDeleteJenny, I hope you read You. I'd love to hear what you think. It's such a unique book.
DeleteProductive months are good! Hope this one is good for you.
ReplyDeleteTrue! Thanks! :)
DeleteI'm with you, as long as I stay ahead in my GR challenge I figure I'm doing good. I'm in the middle of composing my thoughts on Splatterpunk. I liked most of the stories but there was a real or dud as is the case with most of these collections.
ReplyDeleteI actually gave one of the stories a 0-star rating. 0_0 I'm glad you liked most of them, though! I seem to be the only one that didn't really enjoy it.
DeleteGreat job on all the reading! 6 books is awesome and you read a ton of short stories! Yay!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm happy with the amount I was able to read. :)
DeleteAnnihilation has come on my radar recently because of the movie buzz. When I read the synopsis it sounds so interesting to me, but I keep seeing lukewarm reviews. Only 3 stars from you, eh? I'm thinking of taking it off my TBR.
ReplyDeleteI don't regret reading it at all. It's a unique read, and I wavered on how much I loved it throughout most of it, but it's worth reading even though I only landed on a 3 rating. I'm pretty tough when handing out the stars in general.
DeleteYou seemed to have read plenty and, yes, it's good to stay on top of the Goodreads challenge. I've not set one yet this year but I will do so eventually.
