It's time to spotlight all of the horror releasing in August! There is no doubt about it - horror is on the rise again, and I could not be a happier reader.
Benjamin Percy and Ania Ahlborn have new releases this month. I'm dying to know more about Zhou HaoHui's Valley of Terror. I'm also super curious about The Grip of It. I always gravitate toward haunted house stories. Let me know if you've had a look at any of these!
I'm looking forward to reading the new Kristi DeMeester this month, as well.

As always, be sure to let me know if there are any horror books releasing in August that didn't make it onto my list! I'd love to hear which horror books you are excited about this month.
OMG so I really don't know where to start with this list. I definitely want to grab a copy of Video Nasties (because I love my anthologies in physical form). I need Gravel Switch in my life now as well as book 1 and 2 in the Ghost Chronicle series. Also, yes, I have to read a book where Dracula is President. As scary as the political scene is right now, that may be the direction we need to go...just kidding - maybe!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about anthologies. Ha! I didn't even realize Dracula was president. :)
DeleteWow, I had no idea there was so much horror coming out in August! What a fantastic list. I'm not familiar with many of these, but I am very curious about The Grip of It and The Dark Net. Hope you get to read a bunch of these!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited by how many books are being released right now. It's not even fall yet. :)
DeleteI have yet to read any Ania Ahlborn and I have no idea why. Fearful Fathoms: Collected Tales of Aquatic Terror has a gorgeous cover!
ReplyDeleteSomeday, Bonnie. Someday! Yes, I'm very drawn to that Fearful Fathoms collection.
DeleteAwesome list! I've only heard of The Dark Net. Definitely going to have to check to the rest!!
ReplyDeleteI still haven't had a chance to read The Dark Net. It's one of the ones I'm most excited about this month.
DeleteOoh Fearful Fathoms looks like something I'd like. :)
ReplyDeleteMe, toooo. :) I still haven't read that Mira Grant mermaid series you recommended to me! I need to get on that...
DeleteBlanky terrifies and calls to me to buy, buy buy!
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest - I'm too scared to read that one! I love me some KPB, but I don't know if I could handle it.
DeleteThese sound good! Now only if I had anymore heart left for horror... *chicken*
ReplyDeleteYeah. I love it, but I totally understand!
DeleteThank you for this list! I've definitely been wanting to read more horror and these sound like they're going to be great reads. Going to be adding several to my TBR list.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! For whatever reason, horror can be a well hidden genre. I'm happy to put a spotlight on it.
