December 7 | Currently Reading

Last week I posted reviews of Sour Candy by Kealan Patrick Burke {review} and Slade House by David Mitchell {review}.

I also finished reading Snowblind by Michael McBride. Then I read the first Harrow County comic book. I've been pining after that series, and i09 posted the full first comic on their website. If you are into horrific things, you will want to check that out. I also had the pleasure of reading The Bizarre of Bad Dreams by Stephen King.

Now I'm currently in the middle of reading Hawksmoor by Peter Ackroyd and The Rats by James Herbert.

What about you? What are you reading this week? Be sure to let me know in the comments or leave me a link!

  1. THE RATS was so much fun! I need to read the other two titles in the trilogy, though. I also need to read BAZAAR OF BAD DREAMS. I've been reading a bunch of prospective manuscripts this past week or so so my finished novel reading has slowed a lot.

    1. I am loving The Rats! I can't wait to get back to it tonight. Prospective manuscripts could be interesting. I can understand it sucking up all of your time, though.

  2. All of these are new to me. I tend to stay away from things that look too creepy for my peace of mind. I hope you enjoy all of them. Here is what I did last week. Happy reading

    1. I understand that, Kathy. There are a lot of books I avoid now that I have kids. I just don't need those thoughts.

  5. These all look so scary and creepy! I am not as easily scared as I was a year ago (I'm slowly building up my backbone haha!) but that Harrow County cover made me visibly shudder! lol

    1. Harrow County is not horror lite. It can give you something to work up to, though! Haha. I love that you are working up your tolerance. :)

  6. I really like that King novel cover but I wouldn't read one of his books for anything as I wouldn't be able to handle it. The rat one is creepy but made me laugh as I remembered one time I was closing up the school after a presentation meeting and when I was closing up some door, some fast ran up the wall and it was pretty big. My co-worker and I screamed and high tailed it fast.
