Yesterday was my youngest son's birthday. He turned 3 years old. My boys are growing so fast! I know I'm going to miss how little they were, but I'm also looking forward to the next phase for us. This should be a really fun time (before those teenage years hit!)

What I Read Last Week
Last week I read the third and fourth books in the Amulet series. I decided to put Hawksmoor on hold (and possibly DNF). I can see why it appears on "best horror" lists. It is very atmospheric, but I'm having a lot of trouble actually retaining any of it. I don't know if it's me or the book, but I'm suspecting it's the book. What I'm Reading This Week
I started reading Glenn Rolfe's Blood and Rain. I'm also still reading James Herbert's The Rats. It's part of a group read with a set schedule. I'm having to resist the urge to read ahead. It's a fun read!I need to find me a Christmas read soon! Do you have any Christmas favorites?
What are you reading this week? Be sure to let me know in the comments or leave me a link!

I want to find a Christmas read also. I enjoyed Mary Higgins Clark Christmas reads and Andrea Kane's.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes. I may have a Mary Higgins Clark holiday book!
DeleteMmm a horror and graphic. I find it takes quite a different comprehension skill to read graphic novels, I used to get parents of my students turning up their nose at them, but I always encouraged them.
ReplyDeleteI actually got the first Amulet book for my son, but it was way too dark for him. That's not his thing at all. I love it, though.
DeleteI've been loving Amulet.
ReplyDelete:) It's pretty great.
