How do you get me to read a romance? You throw in a zombie apocalypse. That's how!
Publication Date: October 1, 2013
When the world ends, can love survive?
For Scarlet, raising her two daughters alone makes fighting for tomorrow an everyday battle. Nathan has a wife, but can’t remember what it’s like to be in love; only his young daughter Zoe makes coming home worthwhile. Miranda’s biggest concern is whether her new VW Bug is big enough to carry her sister and their boyfriends on a weekend escape from college finals.
When reports of a widespread, deadly “outbreak” begin to surface, these ordinary people face extraordinary circumstances and suddenly their fates are intertwined. Recognizing they can’t outrun the danger, Scarlet, Nathan, and Miranda desperately seek shelter at the same secluded ranch, Red Hill. Emotions run high while old and new relationships are tested in the face of a terrifying enemy—an enemy who no longer remembers what it’s like to be human.
Set against the backdrop of a brilliantly realized apocalyptic world, love somehow finds a way to survive. But what happens when the one you’d die for becomes the one who could destroy you?
I'm in.
What are you anxiously waiting for this week?
This post is being shared as part of Breaking the Spine's Waiting on Wednesday.
Hah you and I definitely think alike. I'm going to add this to the TBR out of sheer curiosity plus you know how I just love my zombies!! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on this!
ReplyDeleteMy Waiting on Wednesday
Yep, that's pretty much the guaranteed way to get me to read a romance as well! I came across this one early last week and put it on my To Read list right away!
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds good! You must be in a outbreak sort of reading mood lately huh? I had a binger of it a few years ago and now I have to swap off of it because its so easy to get burnt out on the premise. Looking forward to your thoughts!
ReplyDeleteDude, I am always in the outbreak mood. :)
DeleteI admit, I'm intrigued. I haven't read anything Jamie McGuire's and while her work isn't something I'd normally read I think I'll have to give her a shot one of these days. :)
ReplyDeleteI've never read Jamie McGuire either. This will be my first.
DeleteI'm not a fan of zombies so this isn't one I would read, but I hope when you get to it you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kimberly. That's sweet of you. :)
DeleteI am intrigued, but I have yet to read a McGuire novel- this might be the one! Maybe I'll wait for your to read and review it first though! ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha. I will read it for you! I have an ARC so with great power comes great responsibility right? ;)
