Emily - The Emily from "A Rose for Emily" because I'm that sick sort of person. - A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner

  7. I like Lyra and Scout as well, just got done listening to To Kill a Mockingbird. I love this topic for a blog post,t oo bad I'm a couple years late in seeing this. I have 3 sons already so it'd hard thinking of boys book characters that I'd name. But for girls, I like the name Rue from the Hunger Games, Liesel from the Book Thief and although I didn't yet finish the book Elisa from The Girl of Fire and Thorns. For boys, I like Atticus from To Kill a Mockingbird for the kind-hearted, patient and open-minded man and father that he is and Oscar, the bright, precocious boy from Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. Not quite 10 but I've used up 3 of my favorite book-worthy names already.
