The two books I am currently reading:
Wizard and Glass (The Dark Tower, Book 4) by Stephen King
The end is near.I am reading this book as part of The Dark Tower series. It will also count toward the Book Chick City Stephen King Challenge.
Start at the beginning.
(See my post regarding Wizard and Glass.)
Origin by J.A. Konrath
When linguist Andrew Dennison is yanked from his bed by the Secret Service and taken to a top secret facility in the desert , he has no idea he's been brought there to translate the words of an ancient demon.I am reading Origin based off a recommendation on The Man Eating Bookworm's blog. The author has the ebook available for free download on his website.
He joins pretty but cold veterinarian Sun Jones, eccentric molecular biologist Dr. Frank Belgium, and a hodge-podge of religious, military, and science personnel to try and figure out if the creature is, indeed, Satan.
But things quickly go bad, and very soon Andy isn't just fighting for his life, but the lives of everyone on earth...
Parajunkee's Follow Friday blog hop asks What is the book you are currently 'pushing'?
The book I have been pushing most lately would be the entire Hunger Games trilogy. I've been buying them up and passing them around. I love hearing who else those copies have been passed to as well!

Book Review: Catching Fire (Hunger Games #2) by Suzanne Collins

ReplyDeleteThe book I'm pushing is Fatty Legs, a terrific story of a girl's unbroken spirit in the face of hostility and alienation.
You can read my review of it here:

Thanks for stopping by. You should def read the VA series I love it. The first book is a little slow but it gets better. :) You know I read the first hunger games book and wasn't blown away by it, but I do have the other two to read so i'm hoping I'll like it better. What'd you think about the movie coming out?
ReplyDeleteI love to see books adapted to movies. Even when all the details are left out and major changes are made, it's still like getting to visit with old friends for a while. I'm particularly excited about The Hunger Games movie because it's being produced by Lions Gate.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! :)
Hopping through. New follower!
ReplyDeleteI love the Hunger Games series! I think Catching Fire was my fav.

Looking forward to reading your reviews! And I liked the one on Wastelands --- still haven't tried that set, although I've read just about everything else by King. :)

Thank you for visiting my blog, My Bookshelf. I have been wanting to read The Hunger Games trilogy for months now! I've heard so much about it and want to know if it lives up to all the hype. What is your opinion? I see those are the books you are currently pushing right now. What differentiates them from other YA books?
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by on the Hop! I hope you enjoy the books you've got going. I've never been able to get into Stephen King...but then I'm not much for thrillers.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
